About Kelley

I think the most important thing you can know about me is that I’m a fellow traveler. Along my path, I’ve known both tender lows and poignant highs. I’ve navigated painful loss and experienced profound love. I know the feelings of emptiness, confusion, and doubt—and also those of wholeness, clarity, and conviction. My personal search for depth and connection led me to the field of psychology and the growth I’ve experienced—and witnessed in others—continues to inspire my work.

All this informs how I show up as a therapist. I’ve worked with people carrying deep burdens of shame, others with histories of profound trauma, and those whose lives may seem outwardly fortunate, yet who still grapple with the deeply human challenges of meaning, self-worth, and connection. I bring an innate respect for the full breadth of human experience—and a deep appreciation for the complexity of creating a satisfying life, especially in a world that offers so many emerging challenges. Clients often describe me as understanding and compassionate. As a fellow traveler, how could I be otherwise?

I hold a master’s degree in mental health counseling and have over twenty years of post-graduate experience as a psychotherapist. I also earned a PhD in East-West Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, where I studied how wisdom traditions inform psychological healing and how psychological work can support spiritual development. Over the years, I’ve engaged in many forms of self-exploration and have been a student of the Diamond Approach since 2012.

I’ve completed extensive professional training in therapeutic modalities including Internal Family Systems, Hakomi, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EMDR, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and BioDynamic Breathwork and Trauma Release. My work is also influenced by Integral Theory, Coherence Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

I’m licensed as a Professional Clinical Counselor in California (LPCC #189) and a Professional Counselor in Oregon (LPC #C6760).
