Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) brings together the transformative potential of ketamine with the safety and depth of a skilled therapeutic relationship. When used in the context of therapy, ketamine can open access to inner material that may be difficult to reach in ordinary states of consciousness — and help shift long-standing patterns of thought, emotion, and behavior.

In my practice, ketamine is integrated into a thoughtful, trauma-informed process that includes preparation, exploration, and integration. This model can support not only symptom relief, but genuine transformation — helping clients reconnect with themselves in deeper, often unexpected, ways.

Some people turn to KAP because they feel stuck in patterns that haven’t shifted through traditional therapy. Others are looking for a catalyst to deepen their inner work or approach emotional challenges with a fresh perspective. Early research suggests KAP may be especially helpful for depression, anxiety, trauma, and existential or spiritual distress.

As a psychotherapist, I don’t prescribe or administer ketamine. If we decide to work together, I’ll help you connect with a trusted medical provider who can evaluate your appropriateness for treatment and oversee your medical care. If prescribed, ketamine is typically self-administered (in the form of rapid-dissolve tablets) during in-office sessions, with me present throughout.
